Built to Earn™

A free mentorship program for high school CTE students who are skilled, ambitious, and ready to learn how to think — and what that thinking is worth.

The program

Most programs teach you what to do.
This one teaches you how to see.

There's a skill that runs underneath every consulting engagement, every freelance project, and every successful business: the ability to look at a situation, find the real problem, and position yourself as the person who can solve it.

It doesn't belong to any one career. It doesn't expire. And almost no one teaches it in high school.

Built to Earn exists to change that. Over six months, you'll develop a consulting mindset — the kind of thinking that makes someone worth hiring, worth retaining, and worth paying well. For free. Funded entirely by A.G. Consult Co.

Why it matters now

The workforce isn't waiting for you to graduate.
It's already changing.

The traditional job market — one employer, one title, one salary — is no longer the only path. Independent, project-based, and freelance work has moved from the margins to the mainstream. The students who understand how to position, communicate, and price their value are the ones who will lead in this economy.

Infographic with statistics about the future of freelancing and the U.S. workforce. Key points include: over 64 million Americans work as freelancers, comprising 38% of the workforce; 99% of employers plan to hire freelancers in 2025; median income for full-time freelancers is $85,000; 52% of Gen Z professionals are already freelancing; freelancers will make up the majority of the workforce by 2027; freelancers out-earn full-time employees with a median of $85,000 compared to $80,000, with a growing gap due to specialization; and more employers are hiring freelancers after the 2023-24 layoffs. The question isn't whether independent work is real. It's whether you'll know how to compete in it. That's exactly what Built to Earn teaches.

The curriculum

Six months. One skill built in layers.

Each session builds directly on the last. By Month 6, you won't just understand how to solve problems — you'll know how to communicate that value and put a price on it.

Month 1

How to see problems

Train yourself to notice what everyone else walks past.

Month 2

How to define the real problem

Get past symptoms to the system underneath.

Month 3

How to design a solution

Build a response that actually fits the problem.

Month 4

How to communicate value

Make people feel the worth of what you bring.

Month 5

How to identify your stack

Name what you uniquely bring to any problem.

Month 6

How to price yourself

Anchor your price to outcomes, not hours.

Who it's for

You don't need a plan. You need a framework.

Built to Earn is designed for students who are capable and driven but haven't found a direction that matches what they're actually worth. If any of this sounds like you, you're the right fit.

You might be a fit if

You notice when things are broken. You ask why, not just what. You want to earn well but aren't sold on any one path. You show up when you commit.

Founder, A.G. Consult Co. · MBA · Former CTE Business & Finance Teacher

I spent years teaching Business and Finance in CTE classrooms. I watched skilled, sharp students graduate without knowing how to talk about what they were worth — or how to turn their thinking into income. Built to Earn is the program I wish existed when I was teaching. It's funded by A.G. Consult Co. because investing in students who think like problem-solvers is the right thing to do.
